Alphabet Game from the Hesston Public Library Crazy Caterpillars from the Hesston Public Library Raising Readers is a big project from Maine. There are a lot of good ideas on the site. Mother Goose Rhyme Time is a special program for children 0-24 months and a caregiver, which is facilitated by Dorian Assenmacher, who is the Youth Services Information Specialist at the Johnson County Library - Blue Valley Neighborhood Branch. Here are a brochure and a couple samples of Miss Dorian's Mother Goose Rhyme Time programs using PowerPoint. To host a Mother Goose Rhyme Time, you can project one of the PowerPoints on the wall. All you need to add is music! This can be a special time to introduce young children to the joys of language and literature through rhymes, fingerplays and musical activities. Young children will benefit from and enjoy the repetition and physical activity involved. Have Fun!

Kansas Reads to Preschoolers is an excellent chance to promote 6 by 6: Ready to Read in your community. Distribute tri-fold brochures explaining the six skills and how to enhance them in children--you can hand them out at programs, or if you're giving the book away, tuck one inside each book!
