Point out new objects to kids. Name them and talk about what the things do and how they are used.

Add to children’s words. If your child says, “That’s a ball”, say, “Right, that’s a blue ball. It’s big, too! It would be fun to play with.”

Talk to children as much as you can. The more words children hear, the more they learn.
