State Agencies

The State Library is open for appointments to do research and browsing of audio books.

To schedule an appointment for purposes of doing research at the State Library, we encourage the use of our Ask A Librarian kslib.info/ask instant message chat (feature to the right), a phone conversation, or email infodesk@ks.gov during our regularly scheduled hours of Monday – Friday, 8 – 5.

The library is open for browsing of the audio book collection. We are happy to be your “personal shopper” and find books that meet your reading needs and have them ready for you.

Need a book or article not found in the State Library collection? Ask about our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This allows state employees to obtain requested items from other libraries if they are not available at the State Library. ILL can take a few days, or up to a week.

Many of our databases designated for state agency use are available by remote access. Contact us through kslib.info/ask  for more details.
