State Agencies

The State Library is temporarily closed to walk-in service until further notice.

Reference service is still available through Ask A Librarian instant message (feature to the right) or by email or phone: kslib.info/ask.

Other contactless services includes "curb side" pick up of books, audio books, and other material by using a pickup and drop off location outside the library's third floor doors.

Once the number of COVID-19 cases in Shawnee County decreases significantly, the Library will re-open for research appointments. When that happens, this web page will help you prepare for your visit.

Need a book or article not found in the State Library collection? Ask about our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This allows state employees to obtain requested items from other libraries if they are not available at the State Library. ILL can take a few days, or up to a week.

Find out how your agency can learn more about the State Library's resources and services by clicking on Available Training. This includes a form to request training on our resources.
