The State Library is open for appointments to do research and browsing of audio books.
To schedule an appointment for purposes of doing research at the State Library, we encourage the use of our Ask A Librarian kslib.info/ask instant message chat (feature to the right), a phone conversation, or email email@example.com during our regularly scheduled hours of Monday – Friday, 8 – 5.
The library is open for browsing of the audio book collection, but limited to one person at a time.
Anyone entering the State Library is required to wear a mask and maintain a safe social distance. More information about the precautions being taken can be found at Prepare for your visit.
We are continuing with our other contactless services: "curbside" pick up of books, audio books, and other material by using a pickup and drop off location outside the library's third floor doors. We are happy to be your “personal shopper” and find books that meet your reading needs and have them ready for curbside pickup outside our doors.
Need a book or article not found in the State Library collection? Ask about our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This allows state employees to obtain requested items from other libraries if they are not available at the State Library. ILL can take a few days, or up to a week.
Many of our databases designated for state agency use are available by remote access. Contact us through kslib.info/ask for more details.
