ANNA E. ARNOLD
In this week's KGI Blog we celebrate Women's History Month revisiting an October 2020 KGI Blog on Kansas born educator, Anna E. Arnold (1879-1942). Arnold authored "A History of Kansas" (first published in 1914), and "Civics and Citizenship" (first published in 1912). Both books were used as official state textbooks by Kansas. She served as superintendent of schools in Chase County, Kansas, and also ran unsuccessfully for statewide public office in Kansas in 1912 as the Democratic candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
