This quote appeared on the cover of a special report published by the Kansas Advisory Committee on Mexican-American Affairs in 1981. This report is one of many publications available at the Kansas Government Information (KGI) Online Library issued by what is now known as the Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission. Since its creation in 1976 the Commission has worked to educate, inspire and assist all Kansans in gaining an understanding of the contributions people of Hispanic descent have made to our state. It has also worked with other agencies and organizations in promoting Hispanic owned businesses, addressing public policy concerns in areas related to health, business and education, and served as a liaison for the Kansas Hispanic and Latino community in Kansas.
