State Library's LIS Collection

How to Request Materials
If you would like to request this or other materials from the State Library of Kansas, please use your library’s established interlibrary loan process. Normally we purchase a single copy. You may be placed on a hold list for several weeks if our only copy is checked out. This collection is supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the State Library of Kansas.

[ARCHIVED] OneClick: iOS Bookmarking & Mac Browse Errors

The original item was published from June 10, 2016 4:14 PM to June 13, 2016 9:05 AM

This week two errors have cropped up with OneClickdigital that are not affecting all users of each device type, but are quite frustrating.

OneClickdigital is already working on both problems.  If you would like to be notified when they are fixed,  please let us know at audiobooks@ks.gov.

iOS App - iPhone or iPad

Problem: you've downloaded a book, and it came with multiple bookmarks you did not set already on the book.  When you pause the book the app does not remember your place and you cannot set bookmarks of your own.  Some people are experiencing this on all books they check out, others just one or two.

If you are experiencing this issue: the first person that called in with this error had a good idea. She is taking a screenshot of her book screen when finished listening for the day, so she can refer back to the image in her photos to remember where she left off.  To take a screenshot, hold down the "home" button and the power button at the same time.

Mac Computers
Problem: when you click the "Browse Website" link in your Media Manager, it says you do not have the newest version of the app downloaded and fails to pull up the site to let you checkout more books.

If you are experiencing this issue: go directly to our OneClickdigital website in your Safari (or other browser) and login.  You will be able to checkout books as normal. Click the refresh button (arrows in a circle on the right side) in your Media Manager to import the new checkouts.
