[ARCHIVED] 1949 Document on Chemical Use in Agriculture

We added an interesting document to the State Library of Kansas' KGI Online Library this morning:  "Chemicals for Farming." The booklet was published in 1949 by the Kansas State Board of Agriculture as part of its "Report" series.

This document might be of interest to agricultural history researchers and environmental history researchers.  What jumped out at me was a chapter called, "DDT, Gift of Science."  The history of DDT promotion, use, banning and continued limited use is a great story for people interested in agricultural industries, environmental/health concerns, farming and pest control.
