THE ORIGIN, HISTORY AND FUNCTION OF THE KANSAS STATE PENITENTIARY (1960s)

Prepared by William D. Davis, Director of Classification at the Kansas State Penitentiary in Lansing, this short publication, written sometime in the 1960s, gives us a quick walk through of the background, functions and procedures within one of the state's correctional facilities over 50 years ago.

You can read through this publication at the State Library of Kansas' KGI Online Library.
