Kansas Talking Books Create-Your-Own Song Lyrics Contest

Are You Ready to Rock?

Showcase your creativity and have some fun with the Kansas Talking Books "Libraries Rock!" Summer Reading Create-Your-Own Song Lyrics Contest (that’s a mouthful).

We’re asking you to use the titles of our most popular books to write a song that rocks. The top three entries will be invited to share their lyrics in our fall Kansas Talking Books News Update and the top two entries will each win a gift card. A link to the book titles can be found below.

So tune up your imagination and compose your lyrics for the Create-Your-Own Lyrics Contest. And don’t forget to submit your entry by August 1st!

Rules:
  • Each contestant must use at least 5 titles from the list of our most popular titles in their song lyrics.
  • Additional words beyond song titles are acceptable. 
  • No explicit content (strong language, sexual description, etc.).
  • Submit your entry by Wednesday, August 1st, 2018. Send your entries to ktb@ks.gov or mail to
