Governor Brownback Special Collection at KGI Online Library
Quite often researchers at the State Library are looking for publications/information on state government that transcends the publications of one particular agency or institution. A report on the workings of a state agency or official might be issued by the Kansas Division of Post Audit, the Kansas Legislative Research Department, a special commission set up by the Legislature or the Governor. There are also events, places and people who have been the attention of different state government bodies. Documents on these topics may not be limited to publications issued by just one agency.
Back in June we set up a special collection on the
Topeka State Hospital. This month we're starting up special collections on former Kansas governors' publications. Moving back in time we now have a special collection of KGI material issued by Governor Sam Browback (2011-2018), or directly/indirectly by/about the Governor's Office, special task forces, commissions, etc within his tenure as governor. The collection is far from all encompassing but will continue to grow as we add more to it. You can view the KGI Online Library special collection on Governor Brownback here:
