School bells will be ringing soon calling Kansas students back to the classroom just as they have for over 150 years. As our state's scholars trudge, drive, ride, bus back to the halls of learning let's take a look at some of the pertinent topics of interest to Kansas educators and students over 70 years ago.
Presented here are twelve publications by the Kansas State Department of Public Instruction, issued in 1946 and 1947, all available at the State Library of Kansas' KGI Online Library. These titles cover a broad spectrum of the issues of the day, both educational and societal, during the two years following World War II.
