Posted on August 16, 2018 at 11:09 AM by Andy Schafer

The Student Success Skills Center in LearningExpress Library (https://kslib.info/lel) promotes skills that are vital for success in high school, college, and in life. Featured resources include interactive tutorials on study and classroom skills, multi-tasking, goal setting, and time management. Life Skills covers the basics of money management and developing healthy habits. Tutorials directed at college students include money management, debt and establishing good credit, healthy habits (eating sensibly, benefits of sleep), and understanding insurance and taxes. Tutorials for new high school students cover multitasking, time management strategies, how to memorize, how to take notes, research skills, and life skills such as credit, debt, and money management.

Of particular interest to those teaching research:

  • How to find good sources
  • Understanding and avoiding plagiarism
  • Improving academic writing (includes the benefits using the library and the librarian)
  • Understanding information literacy
