Although the holidays might be over, it is still winter, and what better way is there to spend a cold day indoors than with a hot meal? This being said, the State Library has a collection of cookbooks that might have just the recipe to try this winter. This part will focus on cookbooks that are mostly done by state agencies, including the Kansas Wheat Commission, and the State Board of Agriculture. The
Kansas! magazine also typically has a section devoted to eating and cooking in Kansas. Here is a sample of titles the State Library offers for recipes.
Food in Kansas: A Cookbook for Young Kansans
From the Land of Kansas
Kansas Commodity Cookbook
Cuisine from the Land of Kansas
Southeast Kansas Cooking
Kansas Wheat Commission Recipe Book
Kansas Kitchen Keepsakes

25th Anniversary Recipes
Be sure to check in for the
second part to see what cookbooks we have that are part of our general collection.
