Android Errors - Resolved
Android devices can download Freading ebooks again. On Android, we were seeing messages like "no tokens" or "error in download stream" when a book was checked out.
Please make sure that your device, the browser (Chrome), and Freading apps are fully updated then restart your device before attempting to download a book.
- Does your device need updated? Go into Settings, select About Tablet (or other device name), then System Updates to check.
- Update apps: Go into Play Store. Open the menu, and select My Apps. Apps that need updated will show at the top.
- Restart device: hold down the power button until the device asks to power off. Tap the message to confirm. Let the device be off for a minute or two.
If you had deleted the Freading app or have forgotten how to check out a book, see the Freading Android instructions.
Kindle Fires - Error Ongoing
Freading continues to work on this problem.
With Kindle Fires, the
Freading app is still not importing checked out books. On some devices, nothing
appears to happen at all after checkout. Other devices may see an error
message of "no tokens available for download" or "error in download stream."
The
3M Cloud Library ebooks app working normally on both devices. You may
wish to read books on it in the meantime. Install & setup the 3M app
for Kindle Fires.
Enki Library ebooks can download into your Freading
app. You can just use the checkout instructions and download the book
into your Freading app. See Enki for Kindle Fires.
