Free Accessible Audio Information Sources

These FREE accessible audio news services are available to all registered Kansas Talking Books patrons. If you’re not using them yet, consider giving them a try.

Audio-Reader Network
The Audio-Reader Network is a reading and information service for blind, visually impaired, and print disabled individuals in Kansas and western Missouri. We read daily newspapers, magazines and best-selling books. Services are offered free of charge to qualifying individual in our listening area.

Telephone Reader: No internet connection needed. Touchtone phone required. The Lions Telephone Reader is an on-demand dial-up information system that allows listeners to access recordings over the telephone. To try a six-minute Telephone Reader demo, call 1-800-335-1221 and enter code 5887.

Online: Listen to Audio-Reader's Radio Reading Service live stream or previous Audio Reader programming on-demand! The digital archive contains everything that was read over the air in the last year, saved on our servers and ready to be listened to once again.

Amazon Alexa: Listen to online programming via the Alexa Audio-Reader skill.

Radio Reading: Audio-Reader's radio broadcast is available 24 hours a day online and via a specially tuned radio that is loaned free of charge to all eligible individuals.
