Fall holidays are upon us! The Centers for Disease Control has published some guidelines to make the holidays safer for everyone.
The CDC Holiday page is a great resource to find official CDC guidance for holiday safety. Topics on the page include
- Virus spread risk at holiday celebrations
- Who should avoid in-person celebrations
- General considerations
- Before the celebration
- During the celebration
- After the celebration
The page also has links to information for specific holidays such as Halloween, Día de los Muertos, and Thanksgiving. The page also has information and recommendations for communities of faith.
The CDC stresses that these considerations are meant to supplement existing state and local health and safety laws, rules and regulations. To learn more about Kansas' response to the pandemic, visit the Kansas Department of Health and Environment website. Also visit Governor Kelly's webpage to view executive orders concerning COVID-19.
