Kansas State Capitol Photo Booklets
1969-1999
Within the hallowed halls of the State Library of Kansas' Virtual KGI Online Library are eight booklets issued from 1969 to 1990 offering up photographic tours of the State Capitol. We've scanned these booklets in color to give the reader a great view of changes within the building through the years.
Besides the photos a careful study of the booklets informs the reader when certain items, such as the Bicentennial Stained Glass Window on the second floor, arrived in the State Capitol. The booklets also include historical information on the construction of the building, the layout of the Capitol grounds and basic information on other state government buildings in the area.
