Favorite series? I’m a huge Poirot fan, but I also really enjoyed the Wayfarer series by Becky Chambers.

Have you ever faked reading a book? No

Best library memory: While I was a Young Adult Librarian at a city library, one of my regular teen patrons accidentally called me mom. She was embarrassed, but it made me feel like I had achieved something important – the kids felt safe and welcome, which is what every library should be.

First book you remember being read to you? Today I am…An Alligator by Jane Bottomley.

If you could have any famous person narrate any book, who would it be, which book and why? I would have Monty Don narrate Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. The British horticulturist has such a soothing voice, and Les Mis is one of my very favorite books.

What do you find most rewarding about working at Talking Books? Helping our patrons! We have some of the warmest patrons ever!

Farthest you’ve ever been from Kansas? Saint-Malo, France.
