1912 to 1914 - Kansas Agricultural Agents

The men who serve as county agents do not pose as knowing all about agriculture. They spend their time studying the farming interests of their perspective counties. both from the standpoint of production and distribution, while cooperating individually with farmers to provide solutions to their problems. This description of agricultural agents  was from a Kansas Farmer article written in 1914. These early twentieth century agents reflected the ideals and philosophy of present day extension agents and staff more than one hundred years later.
