In 1922, the Kansas Fish and Game Department published an eight-page pamphlet promoting itself to the general public with facts. The department annually placed in the waters of Kansas about a half million fish. It distributed in 1921 more than a thousand quail and pheasants. The department owns 187 acres and 97 fish rearing ponds. The Kansas Fish and Game Department doesn’t cost the taxpayer one cent.
