In an article entitled, “Relation of the Traveling Library to the Farmer’s Home”, Annie L. Diggs, state librarian wrote, “Of all the good gifts wrought for us and brought to us by this “time-spirit”, none serve us in more soul-satisfying ways than books-blessed books. Whoever has found comfort and counsel in books is straightway possessed of a desire to share the pleasure with others.
