Kansas Educational Directories, 1940-2016

The State Library of Kansas has added Kansas Educational Directories, 1940-2016, to the Kansas Government Information (KGI) Online Libraray. This collection consists of over 70 volumes of information on statewide, regional and local educational institutions, school districts, associations, boards, and administrators.  Information is provided on both public and private schools within the state.  The directories include some basic numbers on teachers and students within each district as well.

The directories were issued by the State Department of Education and its predecessor, the State Department of Public Instruction and can be a valuable tool in locating schools no longer in existence as well as the names of principals, board members and other administrators.
