OneClick: Media Manager can play/transfer books again.

Posted to Statewide Online Services News on November 9, 2016 at 12:03 PM by Lianne Flax

OneClickdigital has the Media Manager computer software mostly fixed - you can listen to and transfer your books again.

If the Media Manager software still says invalid login, please do this and try again:

1. Close the OneClickdigital Media Manager (if it is still open).
2. Go to your computer's Documents folder.
3. Find the Media folder (not My Media). Delete this entire folder.  It is the Media Manager's cache/temp files.

Forgot your password? Use the password reset form OR ask us to reset your password manually. The form sends you an email showing your username, and a link to choose a new password.

What’s still broken in the Media Manager? A couple of small things:

1. The “browse website” black box/link.  If you click this, it will say website unavailable.  To checkout new books you will need to go directly to the OneClick website and login there separately for now: http://statelibraryofks.oneclickdigital.com/

2. Login screen - when I tested logging in to the Media Manager a second time, the login box had NOT saved the country, even though I had selected to have it save my login.  You may need to enter the country until they’ve fixed the final glitches.

OneClickdigital - Technical difficulties

Posted to Statewide Online Services News on November 4, 2016 at 4:17 PM by Lianne Flax

November 4, afternoon: OneClickdigital has fixed some errors but not all. Status:

Fixed: mobile app access & access to OneClickdigital website.  If your login still is not working for these, please reset your password, this will help.

Not yet fixed: Media Manager software for computers.  You will not be able to login to this software.  However, the Listen Online option for OneClickdigital IS working.  You would need to listen at your computer to do this.  See the instructions here, SKIP registering for an account as you already have a login for OneClick.

---------------
November 3:
initial reports
OneClickdigital is working on major site updates and currently experiencing sporadic user login errors and inconsistencies on both the website and the app.

We will update this announcement once maintenance is completed.

OneClick: Newest iOS App Error

Posted to Statewide Online Services News on September 1, 2016 at 12:28 PM by Lianne Flax

Update 9/1/16 - OneClick has released the app update to address this problem.  If you experienced the error, please run the update through your App Store.

iPads & iPhones running the newest versions of iOS (mostly 9.3.4 or .5) are having problems playing some, but not all, audiobooks through the OneClickdigital app. Devices still on an older version of iOS are not having this error.

OneClickdigital has found that the error is only occurring on one format of audiobook (Protected). They are working on an update to resolve the error.

If you would like to only check out Non-Protected books until the update arrives, here's one way to search for a book in this format:
  1. Go to Search in your app, and select the "Advanced Search" option (under Browse/3 lines icon)
  2. Find "Digital Rights" and switch this to "Non-Protected."  You may also set other fields at this time - we recommend setting "Availability" to "Available" and maybe selecting a Genre (mystery, romance, etc).
Have a book that isn't working, and you need to start listening now?  The listen online option will work in your Safari browser, but please realize that this option cannot save your place in the book. Always note where you left off to resume later.
  1. Go to http://statelibraryofks.oneclickdigital.com in your Safari browser.  Sign in with your username & password.
  2. Tap on the Browse/3 lines icon.  Select "My Titles."
  3. Your checkouts should show at the top.  Tap the TITLE of the book you wish to play (not the cover art).
  4. Tap the "chapters" tab for the book, then the first track of the book.
Want to be notified when the iOS update to fix this is released?  Email audiobooks@ks.gov to be added to the list.
