Get AHEAD in Kansas!

Thursday, August 23, 2018

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median usual weekly earnings of people who have a bachelor's degree is 52% more (or nearly $21,000 annually) than those who have some college but no degree. The seven Kansas public universities offer 90 convenient online bachelor degree programs in business, education, leadership, nursing, and many other subjects. These online programs can help your patrons Get AHEAD in both career and in life. This initiative of the Kansas Board of Regents can guide potential learners to rewarding educational experiences in a non-traditional environment – a recent national survey found that adult and online students consistently report higher overall satisfaction with their college experience than do other students.

Presenter Tim Peterson is the Dean Emeritus of the Office of Graduate Programs and Academic Outreach at Washburn University and is currently the Special Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the Kansas Board of Regents. His career in higher education spanned nearly forty years. He holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from the University of Maryland and is a native of Iowa.
